Each cabin has a deck and are on the shoreline, there is a sand beach with lounge chairs and each cabin has its own firepit. Cabin interiors have a warm northwoods decor with large window for viewing the lake. All have full size fridges and stoves with microwave, coffee makers, and basic dishes/pans. Each cabins is furnished with sheets and towels.

Kettle Falls links us to the eastern portion of Rainy Lake via small boat portage. The Voyageurs National Park is 1/3 water based and has over 219,000 acres and no roads. We are based on the beautiful Ash River which is the central entrance to the park. Wildlife is abundant in Voyageurs…deer, moose, otters, bald eagles, black bear and white pelicans are few examples. This makes Voyageurs National Park a great area for the photo enthusiasts. So bring your camera and plenty of film.

Gold Mine Camp is located on the 49-mile-long Vermilion River, nestled between two portage “waterfalls,” in the wilderness between Lake Vermilion and Crane Lake. The Vermilion River flows north of the Trout Lake Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and eventually empties into Hudson Bay in Canada. Gold Mine has access to approximately 17 miles of navigable river system. Gold Mine Camp is a privacy-plus location. People, other than Gold Mine guests, are rarely seen. Private property in this area is limited and public access is difficult.
