The central lakes region of Minnesota is host to a wide variety of resort and lodging destinations, many of the travel hot spots include the Alexandria Lakes Area, Brainerd Lakes Area, Detroit Lakes, Lake Mille Lacs Area, the Leech Lake & Walker Area, the Longville Lakes Area & the Park Rapids area. All locations have dozens of lakes of all sizes and numerous lodging options to choose from. Most of these beautiful areas are a short 2-3 hour drive from the Twin Cities Metro Area.
